'Positive Life - Positive Thinking - Positive Health'
Michelle Savin-Jones as Soul 2 Sole Therapy holds a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. In addition, she has further qualifications in Hand Reflexology, Pre and Post Conceptual Reflexology, Oncology Reflexology and Baby Reflexology.
Baby Reflexology is a series of specially adapted Reflexology Techniques designed to increase bonding between parents and babies.
Originally developed by Jenny Lee, MCSP MAR, a Chartered Physiotherapist and a qualified Reflexologist who carried out several pilot research studies in conjunction with GPs to examine the effects of Reflexology treatments on asthmatic children. The results clearly demonstrated that these techniques reduced asthma, improved sleep patterns and led to a greater ability to relax, with an improved ‘quality of life’.
Baby Reflexology works in the same way as adult Reflexology, but is specially adapted to suit the particular needs of small babies, with a feather light touch being used. Once learned by the parent, Baby Reflexology is easy to use: treatments can be performed any place, any time — it will take no longer than 5 minutes, and can be practised up to 3 times each day.
Baby Reflexology can have the following benefits:
Calming & relaxing
Improving sleep patterns
Boosting the immune system
Help with congestion, coughs and colds
Improving digestive function, colic and constipation
Help with teething pain and distress
Improving general wellbeing
Increasing parent-child bonding
Over 3 sessions, Michelle is qualified to then teach Baby Reflxology to parents, grandparents, or carers of babies over 4 weeks old. These sessions are divided into: Feeding & Digestion, Sleeping & Calming and Wellbeing (which includes pain relief for teething and boosting the immune system). Workshops are either taught 1-2-1 in your own home or in small groups at the Positive Health Therapy Centre in Borough Green. Parents can either practice on each other or on supplied ‘dolly feet’. You will also receive a handy guide to take away as a reminder of the techniques you have learned.
